Yakiniku Rice Burger
The most MOS thing on the menu. The “bun” is two discs of rice pressed and grilled until the outside crisps, holding sweet-savoury grilled beef inside. It is portable, filling and completely unlike any burger elsewhere, and it is the order to make if you only visit once.
MOS invented the rice burger in 1987, replacing the bread bun with pressed, grilled rice mixed with grains. It became one of the chain’s best-known products and inspired imitators across Asia, turning a very Japanese idea of a quick meal into a new category of burger.
What’s inside
- grilled pressed rice buns
- yakiniku-style grilled beef
