Original Fudds Burger
You choose the size, from a third of a pound up to a full pound, and then you dress it yourself. That is the whole appeal: walk to the fixings bar and add as much tomato, onion, lettuce, pickle and cheese sauce as you like. It is only as good as the choices you make, which is part of the fun.
The story
Fuddruckers’ size-it-yourself approach has produced some extreme burgers. In 2006 a chef at the Foxwoods casino location built one weighing 29.6 pounds, 18.5 inches wide and 8 inches tall, sold for $250. At the time it was billed as the largest commercially available burger in the world.

About Fuddruckers
Philip Romano opened Freddie Fuddruckers in a converted bank in San Antonio, Texas, in 1979, because he believed the world needed a better hamburger. The odd name came from Fudpucker World Airways, an old in-joke among pilots about an imaginary airline with steam-powered planes.
A few dozen restaurants, mostly in the US, with single branches in Canada and Mexico.
