A big, smoky double with bacon, cheddar and an onion ring pressed into the stack, finished with bourbon mustard. The mustard’s sweet tang cuts through all that richness better than a barbecue sauce would. One of the heaviest burgers on the menu, and one of the most popular.

Wayback started in 1991 as Jake’s Hamburgers in Newark, Delaware. It began franchising in the 2000s, became Jake’s Wayback Burgers in 2010 and dropped the Jake’s in 2014 to avoid confusion with another chain. Head office is now in Cheshire, Connecticut, and the brand has spread from New England to Texas and California.
