The Meatless Beast
The vegetarian burger for people who do not want a light meal: a black bean patty with cheddar and pepper jack, fried onion strings, lettuce, tomato, ranch and MOOYAH Sauce on a bun. It is cheesy and heavy, more than 800 calories, and the bean patty holds up under all of it. Not vegan, because of the cheese and sauces.

About MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes
Rich Hicks and Todd Istre opened the first MOOYAH in Plano, Texas, in 2007, part of the wave of “better burger” chains of the late 2000s. The name, the company says, is how a cow would shout “Booyah!”, and the whole brand talks in that tone. The first restaurant abroad opened in Dubai in 2013 as the chain’s fiftieth, and the hundredth opened in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, in 2016. In 2017 the founders sold to two private equity firms, Gala Capital Partners and Balmoral Funds.
Around a hundred restaurants in the United States and Canada, plus franchises in the Gulf states.
