Cheeseburger
Kua’Aina’s own recommendation for a first visit, and a fair one: a beef patty cooked to order over a lava-rock flame grill, with melted cheese and the standard toppings. The lava-rock grill gives the patty a char you do not get from a flat-top, and the cheese pulls it together. Choose a third-pound patty for lunch, or a half-pound if you have spent the day at the beach.
What’s inside
- 1/3 or 1/2 lb beef patty, lava-rock grilled
- cheese
- standard toppings
- bun

About Kua 'Aina
Kua ’Aina opened in May 1975 in Haleiwa, a small surf town on the North Shore of Oahu, and sold just twelve meals on its first day. It built its reputation slowly on burgers cooked to order and grilled over lava rock, a favourite stop for surfers and anyone driving the North Shore.
The original shop in Haleiwa, Hawaii, plus restaurants across Japan and in Taipei.
