“Little” is marketing modesty. With one patty it is still a full-sized burger by any other chain’s standard, and many regulars think it is the best-balanced thing on the menu: enough beef, bacon and cheese without the double’s bread-to-meat problem. If you are also getting fries, and at Five Guys the fries come heaped, this is the sensible size.
