Dick's Drive-In

Dick’s Special

  • $3.50

A single patty with lettuce, mayo and chopped pickles, the Deluxe without the second patty and the cheese. It is lighter and a touch fresher, and many locals prefer it because the pickle-and-mayo combination comes through more clearly. Order two if you are hungry.

About Dick's Drive-In

  • United States
  • Since 1954
  • $

Dick Spady and two partners opened Dick’s Drive-In in Seattle’s Wallingford neighbourhood in January 1954, and the menu has barely changed since: hamburgers, hand-cut fries and milkshakes. There are no substitutions, burgers are cooked well done, and the line moves fast because nobody is customising anything.

A dozen or so drive-ins, all around the Seattle area.
