Double Cheese

Bob’s plainest double: two beef patties with two slices of processed cheese in a warm bun, and nothing else. No sauce, no salad, so it is all about beef and cheese. It is cheap and simple, the burger to order for a child or for anyone who picks everything else off.

    About Bob's

    • Brazil
    • Since 1952
    • $

Bob’s is the only burger chain on this site founded by a Wimbledon champion. Bob Falkenburg, an American tennis player who won Wimbledon in 1948, moved to Brazil and opened a small snack bar in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, in 1952, bringing American-style burgers and milkshakes to a country that had never seen fast food. It was Brazil’s first fast-food chain.

    Around 800 restaurants across Brazil.
