Beyond Meat Burger

A plant-based burger with Beyond Meat’s patty, launched nationwide in July 2018 and one of the first of its kind at a major burger chain. It is dressed like a classic A&W burger, and it convinced a lot of meat-eaters to try plant-based for the first time.

When A&W Canada rolled out the Beyond Burger across the country in July 2018, demand was so strong that many restaurants temporarily sold out, a moment widely seen as proof that plant-based burgers could work in mainstream fast food.
