Chocolate Eggplant Burger

This one comes from the 2002 Scooby-Doo movie, and there’s no meat in it at all. The patty is a thick round of eggplant, scored and salted so it sweats out its water before it goes in the pan, then fried and seasoned with pepper and paprika.
The chocolate is in the sauce. Hot sauce goes into the pan first, then paprika, pepper, garlic powder and honey, and the chocolate last, for only about 30 seconds before it all goes into a bowl. So it’s spicy and sweet at the same time, and it goes both under and over the eggplant. It scored 5.1. A slice of cheddar melted on the eggplant takes it to 5.3, which is why the cheese is in the recipe.
