This is the infamous Turducken Slammer from Supernatural. Turkey, duck, and chicken all packed into one patty, topped with spicy Pepper Jack cheese. It sounds wrong, but it works better than expected. The duck fat keeps it juicy, the chicken and turkey keep it light, and the cheese carries the whole thing with heat. No weird chemicals here, just a very strange, very real burger. This burger should look like a classic fast-food order. Light golden bun, melted cheese over the patty, lettuce peeking out. Wrap it in parchment paper for a minute before serving so the bun softens slightly and everything steams together. It scored 7.0 out of 10 here after cooking it exactly as written. The full method runs to 7 steps below. Nothing here needs equipment beyond a pan, a spatula and somewhere to rest the patty.

Recipe

  1. 1
In a bowl, combine 200g ground turkey, 150g ground chicken, and 150g ground duck with 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp black pepper. Mix gently just until combined. Don’t overwork it or the texture turns dense.
  2. 2
Form the mixture into 2 patties, about 1.5 cm thick. Press them firmly so they hold together, poultry is softer than beef and can fall apart if too loose.
  3. 3
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook for about 5 to 6 minutes on the first side until golden brown. Because of the duck fat, they will cook in their own juices.
  4. 4
Flip the patties and cook another 5 to 6 minutes until fully cooked through. Internal temperature should reach 74C / 165F since this is poultry.
  5. 5
Add Pepper Jack cheese on top and let it melt for about 1 minute. If needed, cover the pan briefly to help it melt evenly.
  6. 6
Toast the buns cut-side down on a pan over medium heat for about 60 seconds until lightly golden.
  7. 7
Build the burger. Bottom bun, spread mayo, add lettuce, then the hot patty with melted Pepper Jack cheese, then top bun. Wrap it in parchment paper and let it sit for 1 to 2 minutes so everything steams together.
