The story
Nachos have a named inventor too. In 1940, at a restaurant in Piedras Negras just across the border from Fort Duncan, a maître d’ called Ignacio Anaya improvised something for a group of American army wives who arrived after the kitchen had closed: fried tortilla, cheese, jalapeño. They were named after him — Nacho is the nickname for Ignacio. Bobby Flay putting queso, pickled jalapeños and blue corn chips on a burger is the same improvisation eighty years later.

About Bobby's Burgers
Celebrity chef Bobby Flay opened the first Bobby’s Burger Palace at the Monmouth Mall in Eatontown, New Jersey, in 2006. It spread along the East Coast and later to Miami, Cincinnati and the Las Vegas Strip, but most locations closed during the pandemic.
About a dozen restaurants in the US, several of them in casinos, with plans for Canada.
