Hayley jumps through parallel universes in this episode — one where Stan is a flag, one where Steve is a bowl — and one where the whole cast works at McLewis Burger. It is worth pausing on Principal Lewis behind the counter, because he is dressed as Kel Mitchell’s character from Good Burger, the 1997 film. The show had already made the joke once, in season eight, with a dumpster burger called Kel’s Good Burger.
The episode never shows the build, so this is the classic it is clearly meant to be: a quarter-pound patty, American cheese, a bun toasted in butter, ketchup, mustard, diced onion and three pickles. Nothing clever anywhere. It scored 8.3 because a plain cheeseburger done properly is hard to beat.

Recipe
- 1Shape the beef into a patty a little wider than the bun and season both sides.
- 2Cook it on a hot pan for 2 minutes, flip it, and lay the cheese on straight away so it melts over the edges.
- 3Melt the butter in a second pan and toast both bun halves cut side down until golden.
- 4Spread ketchup and mustard on the bottom bun.
- 5Scatter the diced onion over the sauce, then lay the three pickle slices on top.
- 6Set the patty with its melted cheese on last and close the burger. Anything else on here is a different burger.
