About Burger & Beyond

Craig came home from Glastonbury in 2013 determined to turn his love of food into a business, and after a year of testing recipes at home he chose to buy a vintage Citroën H van rather than a house. He launched Burger & Beyond in Colchester in 2014 while still working full time, then teamed up with Tom; together they turned the weekend stall into a name on the festival circuit and in London’s street-food markets, including KERB and Street Feast.

The first permanent restaurant opened in Shoreditch in 2018. During the pandemic the pair sold DIY burger kits nationwide, and since then they have opened restaurants in Soho and Borough Yards, counters in Camden, Vauxhall and Canary Wharf, and sites in Brighton and Manchester. In 2026 the international ranking The World’s Best Burgers placed Burger & Beyond fifth in the world.

The beef is the selling point: native British rare breeds, Galician Blonde and wagyu, dry-aged on the bone for at least 40 days and blended from rib cap and chuck for a high fat content. Burgers come on a sesame demi-brioche with a dark crust and a pink middle, and the “beyond” part of the name is the long list of sides, from bone-marrow gravy fries to loaded tots, plus steaks and cocktails.

Restaurants and counters across London, plus Brighton and Manchester.

Signature burgers first. Only burgers and sandwiches, no sides.
