Biggies Burger
A Bengaluru-born chain that calls itself India’s biggest grilled-burger brand, with lamb, chicken, paneer and tandoori flavours.
About Biggies Burger
Biggies Burger was started in November 2011 in Bengaluru by Biraja Prasad Rout, an IT professional at Infosys who bootstrapped the business on the side and only went full time in 2016. His idea was an Indian brand of “authentic” burgers that could stand alongside the international chains, and he built it around grilling rather than frying, calling Biggies the pioneer of grilled burgers in India.
After two successful outlets the company, Beamer Food & Beverages, began franchising, and growth accelerated: it has opened more than 130 stores with over sixty franchise partners. The chain describes itself as India’s biggest grilled-burger chain and sells wings, doner wraps, crinkle fries and cookie shakes alongside the burgers.
The menu is built for Indian tastes. The menu has no beef: the meat burgers use grilled chicken or lamb, often as a double patty, and the flavours run through peri-peri, tandoori, Afghani and Schezwan sauces. A large vegetarian range includes paneer burgers, a Punjabi makhani burger and soya-based patties, alongside a cheese-filled “volcano” patty.
More than 130 outlets across India, most of them franchised.
