About Binging with Babish

Binging with Babish is the channel of Andrew Rea, and it started with a burger. The very first episode, in February 2016, asked whether Chris Traeger’s turkey burger from Parks and Recreation could beat a beef one. The idea stuck: take the food people have always wanted to try in films and television and actually make it, as faithfully as the screen allows and then, where needed, a version that tastes good.

The burger catalogue that followed is a tour of pop culture. The Krabby Patty and the King-Size Ultra Krabby Supreme from SpongeBob, Homer’s Good Morning Burger, Bob’s Burgers of the Day, the Big Kahuna Burger from Pulp Fiction, the Luther burger from The Boondocks, the Paunch Burger from Parks and Rec, the deadly cheeseburger from The Menu and the Heart Stopper from Grand Theft Auto all got an episode.

The channel later grew into Babish Culinary Universe, with Basics with Babish teaching the fundamentals, including separate episodes on thick burgers, smash burgers and steakhouse burgers, and with other hosts running their own series under the same roof.
