Wilderness Cooking

Wilderness Cooking is an outdoor cooking channel filmed in the countryside of Azerbaijan, where the cook lives in a village and picks beautiful places in the mountains and forests to film. There is no narration: meat is chopped with cleavers, bread is baked in makeshift ovens and everything is cooked over wood fire, often for a crowd of neighbours or local children.

Burgers are among the channel’s biggest hits, usually on a scale no home kitchen could manage. Its most-watched burger video answers why cook lots of small burgers when you can cook one huge one, and others follow the same idea: the biggest burger, a huge cutlet in a village fast-food burger, a big country cheeseburger for a big company, a metre-long burger, a massive burger crowned with an ostrich egg yolk and a cheeseburger Wellington in crisp dough. Smaller burgers are cooked on hot rocks in the woods, and the patties are often hand-chopped from beef cut on camera.
