Mythical Kitchen

Mythical Kitchen is the food channel of Mythical, the company behind Good Mythical Morning, led on screen by Mythical Chef Josh and a rotating crew of kitchen staff and guests. It treats fast food as source material for long, funny and genuinely technical cooking episodes.

Its best-known series is Fancy Fast Food, which takes a chain’s signature item and rebuilds it with the most expensive ingredients the team can justify: a $237 Baconator with marrow buns and homemade ketchup, a $379 Filet-O-Fish with uni cheese and a squid-ink brioche, a $315 Animal Style burger with ostrich-egg mayonnaise, a Five Guys cheeseburger with ground wagyu, and a goose-based Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich.

Past Food goes the other way and resurrects discontinued items, from McDonald’s Arch Deluxe and Sriracha Burger to Burger King’s Angriest Whopper and Carl’s Jr.’s Baby Back Rib Thickburger. Future Fast Food invents items the chains have not made yet, and Myth Munchers tests burger folklore such as one flip against many. Everything else, from burger shapes to the history of the chicken sandwich wars, comes with the same mix of jokes and real cooking.
