About Matt Stonie

Matt Stonie is an American competitive eater, best known for beating Joey Chestnut at the Nathan’s hot dog contest in 2015, and one of the biggest food challenge channels on YouTube. His videos are fast and precise: a clear set of rules, a timer, and a calm, methodical assault on an amount of food that would defeat most people, followed by the numbers.

Fast-food burgers are his favourite target. He has eaten 25 Big Macs in one sitting, five Big Macs and eight Filet-O-Fish in 60 seconds, ten Whoppers faster than anyone before him, eleven Baconators, five Five Guys burgers and the whole MrBeast Burger menu, and set times on the “impossible” Big Mac challenge and the 20,000-calorie Octuple Bypass at the Heart Attack Grill in Las Vegas.

He also builds monsters at home, like a giant deep-fried Filet-O-Fish and a nine-patty T-Rex burger, recreated Bubble Bass’s order from SpongeBob with Wendy’s Krabby Patties, and has ranked every burger at Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant and 36 fast-food chicken sandwiches in tier lists.
