Laura in the Kitchen

Laura in the Kitchen is the channel of Laura Vitale, an Italian-born home cook in New Jersey who started filming recipes in her own kitchen in 2010 and became one of YouTube’s first cooking stars. Her episodes are warm and chatty, numbered into the thousands, and aimed at easy, family-friendly food with an Italian accent.

Her burgers span more than a decade. Early episodes include a basic beef burger, spinach turkey burgers, caprese turkey burgers with pesto and mozzarella, a Tex-Mex turkey burger, buffalo chicken burgers and a caramelised onion burger with Gruyère, her most-watched. Later come cheddar-stuffed burgers, black bean veggie burgers, chorizo burgers, Tex-Mex burgers, pizza burgers, Greek burgers with feta tzatziki, sausage and broccoli rabe burgers, salmon burgers, ranch chicken patties, patty melts, a crispy buffalo chicken sandwich, bacon onion jam and, in recent years, smash burgers on the griddle and on tortillas.
