About HowToBBQRight

HowToBBQRight is the channel of Malcom Reed, a competition barbecue cook from Mississippi and the pitmaster behind the Killer Hogs team and its line of rubs and sauces. His videos are practical and unhurried, cooked on kettles, kamados, pellet grills, offset smokers and griddles, with the full recipe and the equipment he used listed underneath.

Burgers are a regular part of the rotation. His most-watched is a hickory-smoked smokehouse burger made from wagyu brisket trimmings saved from competitions and ground with sirloin. He grinds brisket with bacon ends for smoked brisket bacon burgers, grills sirloin and chuck burgers on the Big Green Egg, smashes barbecue smash burgers with crispy jalapeños and tops a jerk burger with pineapple relish and calypso mayo.

His copycats take on Whataburger’s patty melt, Sonic’s Big Dill burger, In-N-Out’s spread and the Filet-O-Fish, and chicken sandwiches range from Nashville hot sliders on blue cheese biscuits to a buffalo chicken sandwich and a jerk chicken sandwich from cheap thighs.
