Food Network is the American cable channel that turned cooking into prime-time television, and its YouTube channel is a vast archive of clips from its shows. For burgers, the richest seam is Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, in which Guy Fieri drives across the country to independent restaurants that have been doing it right for years: brisket cheeseburgers at Fox Bros. in Atlanta, a three-pepper firehouse burger in Houston, a New Mexico green chile cheeseburger, a burger made entirely of bacon and the ordering rules at Krazy Jim’s Blimpy Burger.

Its hosts cook burgers too. Alton Brown grinds his own beef for a burger of the gods on Good Eats and steams mini burgers on Worst Cooks in America, Ina Garten makes sliders and a double-fried chicken sandwich inspired by Shake Shack, and Valerie Bertinelli makes a classic patty melt.
