Blackstone Griddles

Blackstone makes the outdoor flat-top griddles that helped put the smash burger in American backyards, and its YouTube channel is run like a small cooking network. A rotating cast cooks on the griddles: chef Nathan Lippy, Louisiana cook Bruce Mitchell, Blackstone Betty, Matt Hussey of The Hungry Hussey and guests such as camping author Jeremy Puglisi.

Burgers are a natural fit for a flat-top. Chef Nate teaches the Smash Burger Trio of three smash burgers with three sauces, an all-American smash burger, a bacon cheeseburger and the juiciest mushroom Swiss, and went on a New York burger tour with George Motz, who also demonstrates his fried onion burger. Bruce Mitchell brings Cajun ideas like boudin burgers, a Cajun cheeseburger dog and crab and beef burgers, Matt Hussey makes Oklahoma onion burgers and smash burger tacos, and Blackstone Betty shares her burger sauce and a Five Guys-style grilled cheese burger.
